I went to go to the movies today. No, I didn't see "The Da Vinci Code", I went and saw "Posidon" because I just wasn't in the mood to watch it yet. And there were about four people picketing the movie with signs saying "Jesus Saves" and "The Da Vinci code is blasmephous fiction".

"Blasmephous fiction", huh?

Well if it's fiction, get your granny panties out of the crack of your ass and go home. Watch the Seven Hundred Club or what Ye the Faithful watch these days. Anyway, it's got to be triple digits outside. Go home before your fundamentalist brains fry.

And just four people with picket signs? Come on... is that supposed to be a threat.

Yes, I almost wanted to watch the movie but there was a boat movie with my name on it.

When will people learn that picket signs only bring attention to something?

Debating whether or not I want to see the movie myself. It's got religious intrigue and art, so there's a plus for me to see it, maybe. I probably won't, just because I haven't read the book yet.

AN and I went to the movies yesterday. We saw "Over the Hedge."

Funny animated woodland critters = teh win for me everytime.

It's just a fiction novel. And they DO need to get their granny panties out of their asses. Get over it! I mean, come on.

*nods*

I'm personally no fan of the theory or the books (Stu much?) but seriously, this uproar over it does Christianity no good, because The Da Vinci Code *is* fictional and most people are smart enough to know that. Even if they aren't, haven't these fundies realized it's one of the biggest openings for them to discuss religion ever?

*snerk* I'm just happy Hyde's US album release managed to get under the OMG OH NOES WE'RE DOOMED radar. Though watching the pickets show up to protest something they wouldn't even bother to understand would be teh funny.
