I suppose I should start off by saying the artist called WannabeSpiderMan is good, but...
The portrayls of the Trigun characters are off.
Photo-realistic Vash's hair is too short, his chin is too round, his nose is too short, and for a while his eyes were drawn as blue and his skin and hair colors were wrong. Watching the anime and reading the manga, the real Vash, I've noticed, has a narrow, fine boned face. The drawing looks a wee bit stocky in the middle and that throws me, because Vash has a slender waist in relation to his shoulders.
Photo-realistic Legato is all right, I guess, but the eyes are too pale, he's too stocky, and he looks bored, not freakin' scary like he does in the anime and manga.
And Wolfwood. Dear God, where's his cigarette dangling out of the corner of his mouth. He's not going to have it by his side... he has it perpetually stuck in his mouth. Where's the broad shoulders and...
For God's Sake, Wolfwood is not a pretty boy!!! Do not draw him with neatly combed hair. And for the love all things holy and unholy, don't forget his sideburns. Sure he's been drawn with beard stubble, but it irks me when Wolfwood is not drawn with the proper nose.
Like it or not, Wolfwood has a roman nose. It's oversized, like it or not.
If you're going to draw photo-realistic, don't modify the character design. For me, the artwork is nice, but it's like random guys drawn and not the characters I know and love (and in the case of Legato... hate)

There's a reason I didn't Favorite those pieces.
None of them looked quite right to me. Heh, I was looking at the Vash picture when Robert walked in, home from work. He took a look over my shoulder, made a weird face, and said "That looks like 'Queer Eye for the Vash-Guy.'"
Vash just looked too... "pretty boy" or something, to both of us. It's like... Brad Pitt trying to play Vash or something. I agree that the hair is way too short, and something is left to be desired in the facial structure. I did like Vash's robo-arm in that picture, but the rest of it... eh.
I clicked on the Wolfwood and just about laughed out loud. It just didn't look like Wolfwood! The face was too round! He didn't look "rough" like I think Wolfwood should look! I called Robert back in the room... he said that the picture looked like Scott Stapp, former lead singer of Creed.
The art is good - as far as digital realism goes. The blending of the colors is smooth and clean, and better than I can even hope for right now in my own work, and the characters do look like real humans...
They just... don't look like the characters that I know. The art iself is good, that is if the folks were supposed to be "random Trigun cosplayers," but the characterization leaves much to be desired, I'm afraid.
I too, simply said nothing and clicked on to browsing other things. Other people liked the pieces, so I won't knock them, it's just that I've chosen to not Favorite them myself.
