It's been nearly four days since I had my wisdom teeth pulled and I am still in pain by the way. And then yesterday, I'm watching JAG with my parents and my dad asks me if I know that I have a bruise on my right cheek. I look and it's a purplish and I now know why my cheek has been bothering me all day. Apparently one of the post-op thing can be bruising. It looks like I've been punched in the face. I can't have crunchy or hard food. My poor mangled gums. Weep.

Oww...

Well, remember - take your pain pills, and when you run out of those or you want something that will make you less drowsy or something, try extra strength Tylenol or asprin. Remember to eat soft food (be like Milly! Eat pudding!) and DO NOT suck anything through a straw.

I didn't get bruising with my wisdom teeth pull. I wouldn't worry about it sticking around for too long, though. When I fell off my sister's horse a couple of months ago, I had this GNARLY bruise on my right elbow. It was huge and black, all over my elbow, covering much of my arm... it went away in a week. ^_^. So, if you have a healthy body, your bruise shouldn't be around for very long.
