: From Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog. It's basically Billy's philosophy on people, that there's the top surface layer, the hidden side, and a third even deeper layer that's the same as the first. It's like pie. For Billy, there's the top surface of the meek shy Billy he pretends to be, the deeper layer that is the villain-in-training Dr. Horrible, and the bottom layer is meek shy Billy again. Basically I used Billy's insane smirk from Act II and Sadface!Billy from Act III.

Because Neil Patrick Harris is so good at sadface. He's all "sadface" and you just want to make him happy again. If NPH is sad, then you feel sad.

From How I Met Your Mother. Barney Stinson keeps a blog and makes frequent references to it as well. There's an official copy of Barney's blog at CBS.com. He always wants to get his friends to read his blog and says thing like "This is so going in my blog." NPH is never going to stop being Doogie Howser.

It's from the HIMYM season three bloopers and from the DVD extras "How it Really Happened". Basically, during the episode The Third Wheel, where Barney and Ted are in the race to be the first one to be in a threesome, Lily, Barney, and Marshall end up alone after Ted goes off to earn the belt. In the real episode, we follow Ted, but in the blooper/How it Really Happened segment, we stick with the three. Marshall gives a chaste kiss to Lily, Barney licks her cheek, and Marshall kisses Barney on the lips. Granted, this isn't the first time we had a Marshall/Barney kiss (See Pilot episode, where Barney kisses Marshall to make a point to Ted, but all you saw was the back of Barney's head and heard the kissing noise.), but this time we got to see full on male/male kissing. Sure, it's not official, but it's one of the hottest kisses on the show.

The quote is from Fringe, one of my favorite shows and I think the cynic quote fits House to a T. Yes, the man is a very frustrated romantic.
