Plants in the City - A History

Have you ever wanted to take a tired cliche and show how it can be done right? I mean it makes me so made that the only AU someone can do is where everyone is in High School. So I took a look at the High School AU aka everyone is in High School. I realized off the bat that the HS Fic would not and could not work for Trigun.

Why? Let's take a look at the ages. Vash and Knives are over a century old and Plants. Removing that and their species strips away so many things. Knives just isn't Knives without being a homocidal, sociopathic being who hates humanity with all his heart and soul.

Now add in another factor. Why Humanity is on a Planet with two suns. That's simple. Rem Saverem confirmed that Humanity ruined Earth to a point that they could no longer live there.

Enter Elseworlds. Comic Books that ask questions like "What if Superman was found by Communists?". That is the goal of Elseworlds. To ask the Ultimate What If?

I know alot people shun AUs for the reason they have been turned off to them. I know Millyfan was when I mentioned it to her. Lady Shadowcat, I believe, was interested.

Now... WHAT IF PROJECT SEEDS HAD NEVER LEFT EARTH?

Good question.

Project Seeds is what starts off the chain of event in Trigun. But in this Universe, it was turned down after the death of Rem. For you see in beginning Project Seeds had budget isssues and the date kept getting pushed back and back.

That is when Tessla was born. Now add thirty percent anime and seventy percent manga, two twin Plants, several freeborns, set them in a polluted Megacity on a ruined Earth, and spin old events in new ways.
