Dunstan Thorne and Una from Stardust! Heck to the yes.

The dad of our hero meets the mom of our hero at a glass flower stall in the realm of fairy. They talk about the cost of flowers and instead of a blue flower that might require a hefty cost, she gives to him a snowdrop that plays into the plot later and only requires a kiss.

She presents her cheek for him to kiss.

He goes in for the kiss.

Only to have her turn her face at the last second. He doesn't mind one bit since she's several shades of awesome.

Discovering Una is a captive of the witch who owns the flower stall, he attempts to cut the chain holding free. Failing that, he asks her what she wants of him. She just wants a night with him to produce a nonjerk ass heir to the Stormhold throne and to not be alone. Unlike in the book, Dunstan doesn't marry and raises Tristan as a single dad.

Which works out for him in the end when he is reunited with his long lost love. Awww.
